FACTORS AFFECTING EDUCATIONAL EXPENDITURE: A CASE STUDY OF HOUSEHOLDS IN BINH DUONG PROVINCE

This study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting household education expenditure in Binh Duong province, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodology. A survey of 325 households in Binh Duong province was conducted using a questionnaire that was highly consensual among experts. The results showed that 8 out of 11 variables included in the model were statistically significant, 7 variables of which had a positive impact and 1 variable had a negative impact on household education expenditure. The study also found that the head of household's education level, total expenditure, local policies, and household income were the four factors that had the strongest impact on household education expenditure in Binh Duong. Based on the research results, the article puts forward some opinions for discussion on the issue of promoting households to enhance investment in education.
