THE INFLUENCE OF SOCIAL CAPITAL ON THE BENEFITS OF LOCAL PEOPLE IN ECOTOURISM DEVELOPMENT: CASE STUDIES IN BA VI NATIONAL PARK AND CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK

Abstract

Despite being introduced by Hanifan in 1916, social capital has only become widely known since the 1980s in the fields of economics, sociology, politics and policy making (Portes et al., 1998). Social capital has received widespread attention in the tourism sector since the 2000s (Jones, 2005; Liu et al., 2014). Social capital is considered one of the important resources that contribute to promoting socio-economic development. In tourism, social capital helps strengthen cooperation, bringing benefits to participating parties. In particular, in ecotourism, the greater the social capital is, the more benefits local people will enjoy, thereby promoting sustainable tourism development. The article focuses on researching the theoretical basis of social capital and providing suggestions for enhancing social capital to increase benefits for local people in developing ecotourism in Ba Vi and Cuc Phuong National Parks.

ANALYZING THE MECHANISM OF EFFECTS OF SOME STIMULANTS AND ADDICTIVE DRUGS TO APPLY THE COORDINATED ADDICTION MODEL IN PRACTICE

Abstract

The article aims to analyze and build models of the addictive mechanism of a number of stimulants at all levels to serve the research of drugs with clear mechanisms of action used for addiction treatment in the community. As result, 4 models of addictive mechanism of 3 groups of stimulants (drugs, alcohol and tobacco) were built and analyzed. Stimulants affect nerve cells, bind specifically to receptors, creating complexes that stimulate the release of dopamine, causing addiction effects depending on the substance group at 4 levels: Body - Neurological brain tissue - Cells - Biological molecules.

Based on the constructed models this research has also applied experiments and evaluated the implementation of the method of using detoxification support drugs with a mechanism of action in coordination with detoxification work on a 3-combined model: Individual addict - Family - Community.
